���ITE/ARIB HDTV Test Materials��� have been developed to evaluate systems and check image quality during research and development and to promote HDTV equipment.

The materials are described in Report ITU-R BT.2245 ���HDTV test materials for assessment of picture quality���, which is informatively referred to by Recommendation ITU R BT.1210 ���Test materials to be used in assessment of picture quality.��� The test materials were jointly produced by the Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers (ITE) and the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB). NHK Engineering System, Inc. distributes the test materials on ITEs consignment.
